Description

A browser-based application that Media Services uses to log problem calls from all employees. The system tracks these issues and allows inter-company communications between departments to track the status of the issue. All calls to the help desk are logged and resource allocation and utilization are tracked as well. This system also provides inventory management and asset reporting for the entire enterprise. The platforms supported include Windows NT and Macintosh. Support for multiple browsers is also supported. The application utilizes 2 COM components written in Visual Basic one for application logic and another for business logic running over MTS.
There are five main modules in the system. Work orders, Work stations, Inventory, Purchase order and Reports.

Description

The Product Change Request (PCR) process is the new standard for submitting and gathering PCR information, evaluating requests, launching and tracking projects to closure, which fulfill requests 95% of commitments on time. This process is enabled by an intranet/extranet accessible system. The system will implement a data tracking process which will force checks and establish a single point responsibility for the maintenance and support of the trial data entered by the users of the system. The project mission is intended to accelerate the trial process, reduce product trial process and increase cost savings

  • Development, Implementation and Maintenance of different modules.

  • Designed and developed 6 Master Data Screens

  • Created a tables for the Master data

  • Developed new screens for entering Product Change Request data

  • Implemented SMTP protocol for automatic triggering of email

  • Developed Left Navigation Frame(Function to Role Matrix)

  • Implemented Upload functionality to upload a file to a server

  • Developed module to enter and view user comments 

  • Worked extensively with Javascript and HTML for validating and creating pages
