Merrill Lynch gets the financial trading data from various vendors like Bloomberg, S&P, etc. The aim of the application was to store the metadata information about these vendors' databases, so that the other applications can use the metadata information to become interoperable between these vendors databases. The application has the facility to deliver the data in XML format. -
